LESLIE DESMOND EN ESPAÑA

calendario

* ”True Horsemanship Through Feel”

13 DE SEPTIEMBRE: HORSES AND HUMAN

Succeed using Feel & Release! Monthly Q & A with Leslie Desmond

Prepare your horse for a promising future using feel & release.

Learn more and find out how!

Two tele-seminars for adults riders, and one for children, coming up in June!

A premiere online class with Leslie Desmond for students of horsemanship in the UK and EU starts on . . .

Tuesday, June 19th from 7:00 - 9:00 GMT / (19:00 - 21:00) London, UK time!)

And, UK and EU students of horsemanship can join in every 3rd Tuesday of the month thereafter!

In the USA, Canada, Mexico and South America you can also learn more about horsemanship through feel & release online.

Last spring (2011), Leslie started an online coaching program to help riders who could no longer afford to attend clinics far from home.

After a recent hiaitus to accommodate conflicting travel plans, the US tele-class resumes  Wednesday, June 20th, from 8:00 - 10:00 PM (EST).

In June, Leslie will be hosting the US event from Spain, and the seminar will finish promptly. (If you are in Spain, check the online calendar for clinic details -- June 16-24 in the Barcelona area!)

Each month you will gain confidence, and your horse will too. Join the growing horse community that wants to know how to ride and handle their horses using less force, and more feel!

"Is it not a great pleasure to make new friends who share a love of horses, but also want to have the lightest possible aids and hands, and learn how to improve the human-equine connection? Using less force, more refinement and better feel . . . takes you right there and I'm finding that a lot of other interesting people seem to agree!" LD.

Horsemanship through Feel & Release leads the practitioner to lighter hands quickly, which is a main reason this is the approach preferred by many professionals and horse owners who want to compete.

You now have the opportunity to learn online from Leslie 3 times each month, at no charge.  There are two tele-classes a month (Discussions with Questions & Answers) for adults:

1. UK and EU / 3rd Tuesday each month (7:00 - 9:00 -or- 19:00 - 21:00  - GMT)

2. US class, (North/South American time zone)  for adults  / 3rd Wednesday of each month (8:00 - 10:00 PM-EST) ; and

3. US class for children  /  4th Wednesday each month (7:00 - 8:00 PM-EST)

Note to all participants: If you wish to discuss something in particular about your horse, or a problem you are having with other horses, please write to Leslie at:

This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

You will receive an invitation to DROPBOX where your photos and videos can be uploaded prior to the discussion.  Using this upload feature, Leslie will be able to provide you with an informed response to help you over the impasse, past your plateau, and on to better times with your horse. Others can share in the learning and will greatly appreciate the the gift from YOU and YOUR HORSE as they proceed faster on their own journey . . . towards refinement using feel & release.

If you prefer to have a private online lesson with Leslie, you may write to her with details, here:

This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

If you wish, Leslie will create a private folder so that you may share your images and videos only with her. These will be viewed and then discussed directly with you; or you can view them toegther. They will not be viewed by anyone else. This option gives Leslie the chance to evaluate your situation at a deeper level and develop a sound plan for you to resolve in the short and/or long term, as need dictates. The standard fee for a 90-minute private tutorial applies $175.00.

Registration for private tutorials can be scheduled from any tele-seminar calendar page. Learning tools from Leslie's shop may also be purchased directly from the calendar page links.

 Discussion  with Questions and Answers

Topic 1:

What does "setting the horse up to succeed" mean?  Sounds like a good idea, but how can I do this?

Leslie explains her understanding of the ways horses thinks, and the reason he/she chooses the best response from his/her own point of view, to suit that moment.

She will go review and analyze your photos and/or DVDs with you, and make the best suggestions on how to help him. Especially when emotions are running high, a person can more easily overlook the reasons not to hurt the horse's feelings, or his body in any way.  The best way to get to "yes" -- a yes that becomes an enduring poart of that horse's foundation that can be drawn on anytime later when things get sticky or full-blown off track  -- is slowly, using feel and release.

In the same conference, Leslie will help the nervous first time horse owners understand how to proceed. Skilled horse trainers and seasoned competitors have also been shown her way to lighter hands in these discussions.  Leslie can help anyone to increase their capacity for refinement through her tele-conference. In lieu of a hands on demonstration or private coaching, her own experience working a lifetime with horses, combined with useful tips and suggestions that were shared with her by her mentors, Ivan Taylor, Bill Dorrance, Tom Dorrance, Ray Hunt, and Buck Brannaman -- make the tele-conference a good option when you have reached a plateau, or get yourself in a real tangle without an obvious, clear exit.

Topic 2:

Tips to help you get started, or  keep you right on track!

AND, COMING UP NEXT for CHILDREN!

 May 23, 2012  from  7:00 - 8:00 PM (EST-US)

Young Horse Lover’s Topics:

Topic 1: Build Trust with your New Horse!

Topic 2: How does a horse balance?

How a horse balances in nature and under saddle is important for all riders to be aware of. There are many ways to present a request to a horse from the ground, but some ways carry over better to the connection you will have with his mind, mouth and feet after you are sitting on his back! The discussion will focus on the best way to improve timing and feel of the feet at the walk and trot, and when requesting a backup.

(The sessions on the 4th Wednesday were designed for children ages 4 - 14, but if you are new to horses and find that the pace and content of the other conferences are too advanced at the moment, please join in! You can get caught up right here!  If there are children online, please ask your questions after they have asked theirs. Leslie will get to everyone; answers are geared to the individual. Arrangements can be made for a private coaching session online if you are not satisfied that your questions were answered in the hour allotted for the younger riders.)

Please have a pen or pencil and paper handy for this part of the discussion.

I look forward to speaking with you soon!  Leslie
